The day has come where we sent off our D&AD entries. I'm glad it's done and gone, I was getting slightly doubtful about everything that I had done - the layouts, the colours and more but when it was mounted it looked alright in the end.I am now getting in to my professional project. I am slightly stuck on my designs now as I have to start from scratch and design a new logo as well as a website design. I was going to stick with the existing logo and that coulor scheme, but I got told it was to dark. So I am now in the process of get ideas and colours together for everything. But I am glad that my idea was excepted as i feel passionate about the cause I am doing it for so I feel I can get into it really well.
There are posters for shudder festival are going up over dorset and surrounding areas. It feels good seeing my work up, and also seeing them places I don't expect to see them. Below is my final design. Keep a look out for the poster and come to the event that will raise money for Cancer Research.
I have finished my live brief - Shudder Festival, and I am now concentrating on doing a D&AD competition brief. The organizers of Shudder festival and I were really pleased about how the final designs turned out and now the posters and fliers are going for print to advertise the event.
Today I handed in my Website. I am really pleased with how it has turned out and feel it shows my work and style in the best way possible. I enjoyed creating and designing my site and would love to continue creating websites.
I handed in my work today. I had an extention due to illness. I am glad I have handed it in and its over with as I could not really get into this project due to the short time to it in.
The brand that I decided to makeover is Fray Bentos tinned pies. I was unsure of which between Spam and Fray Bentos, but decided to choose pies was because after doing research into both products I found that Spam had done a lot of limited edition and different flavored products, so I thought I would have more to play with with the pies.
After more research I came up with the idea of having organic children's tinned pies as the main topic with food at the moment is eating more healthy and why children are becoming obese.

We have been given our new brief of creating our portfolio website to promote ourselves as designers. I am really excited about this brief as this is the area I am interested in. I have been researching exsiting websites and other designers websites. I am also researching html coding so I can make sure I will create the best website I can.
Today we had tutorials on our project Thank You. I showed my ideas and basic layout for my idea of saying thank you to CLIC. I am going to make a flash animation with our story and why I am so thankful to them. I have been creating a hand-drawn/ child like style to the animation as the charity is a childrens charity. I feel that the animation could also be used as screen savers to promote the charity, it would also be easy and cheaper to send the animation as emails rather than printing adverts.
For this brief we have to do four seprate projects;-Thank You-Business Identity-New From Old-Communicating IdeasToday I started with coming up with ideas for Thank You. I have come with a few ideas but decided I am going to say thank you to CLIC haven, a charity that helps children with luekiema and cancer. I am going to say thank you for all the help and support that we have recieved from them over the past few months. I feel I am stronger at screen based design so I need to some up with some ideas that I can do on the computer.
